How to handle hot runner system safely
During the hot runner mold production, have the same hazard accidents with cold runner mold at work, have the following additional case, will cause harm to people and equipment.
1, high flow temperature or high temperature plastic in reaches 400 ℃, produce thermal damage.
2, be affected with damp PA and POM plastic when overheating decomposition, can produce a spontaneous combustion.
Under the high temperature and high pressure, if open the mould,the nozzle will spray the melting material
3, heater of hot runner system and thermocouple wires, in case of 100-180 ℃ high temperature medium, insulation are destroyed.
4, heater be affected with damp , high temperature insulation failure, connection error, the use of standard plug-in, can cause a short-circuit electric shock.
In order to achieve the safety in production, operate hot runner system should pay attention to the following:
1, before any fault interrupt operation, be sure to turn off the injection machine cylinder and heat runner system heating power source;
And the injection machine nozzle retreat back from the mold of the sprue cup.
2, to be in the back of the injection mould cooling pipe or connection, under the electric wire electric cable to lead to connect in the upper part of the mould.
3, heat conductive wires should be secured and well protect, prevent the mechanical damage of activity components.
4, cooling pipe connection must be reliable.Use the fast clamping sleeve, cannot use wire tied tightly.
5, due to the high temperature molten plastic is easy splash, operation, the operator must wear protective gloves and glasses.
